Forward down the field

For those of you in DC: I got an email from a friend of a friend recently, which I should have posted but didn’t last week.  So here:

Nick,

I got your name from [a friend], he and I often chat about UM and MSU football (Full Disclosure – I’m a Spartan) that being said ... I hear you run a blog that is followed by a fair amount of Michigan grads.  I was wondering if you would consider doing a post that let’s your readers know that Cap Lounge is the place to go to watch the Detroit Lions in DC.  I have been trying to help get the word out and let the Die Hard Lions fans know they have a place to go to watch the games.  The Lounge has turned a portion of their bar into an area themed  “The Lions’ Den.”   In the Den they offer Den only Drink Specials, serve Bells Beer (Oberon Right Now I Believe), have a distinct Lions themed menu, play the “Fight Song”, serve “momentum shots” and decorate the place with Lions gear (flags etc.)

If there is any way you could give the Lions’ Den and Cap Lounge a shout out ... all of us Michiganders who trek over there weekly would really appreciate it!

Look forward to hearing from you,

-Brian

I’m not sure how many Michigan grads we have roaming around DC, but this sounds like a decent deal.  Especially since these folks seemed to have worked out a special menu for Lions games:

And the Lions are…you know…not horribly depressing now.

So to any of you Lions fans in the DC area, I’ll be making it over to Cap Lounge in the near future.  $3 Oberon pints will do that.

I’m busy at the moment; switching to fortune cookie autopilot

I’m between computers at the moment, which is hindering blogging progress.  I should have things back together by the end of this week.  In the meantime, I shall leave you with this bit of wisdom from Emily’s fortune cookie.
